Tech Museum of Innovation names Synergo a 2006 Tech Laureate
Synergo was one of twenty-five Laureates to receive the prestigious
Tech Award on November 15, 2006.
Piegorsch, et al. received Applied Ergonomics Award from Elsevier
The Applied Ergonomics Award "is made annually by Elsevier Ltd,
the Publisher of Applied Ergonomics, in association with The
Ergonomics Society, to the paper that, in the opinion of the
Scientific Editorial Team best demonstrates the comprehensive
application of ergonomics, in a clear and interesting fashion."

Synergo has moved to Tucson!
Palmetto palms have given way to Saguaro cacti. In August 2006, after thirteen wonderful years
in Columbia, SC, Synergo moved to Tucson, AZ. New contact information has been posted.
Ergonomics presentation at W.A.R.P. 2007 Annual Meeting in Panajachel, Guatemala
While Juana Ramos of Oxlajuj B'atz' demonstrated the bench,
Piegorsch discussed the overwhelming success of the pilot
project and described Synergo's current work to make the
technology available across Guatemala.
Synergo honored with 6th Annual User Centered Design Award by the PDTG of the HFES
The international awards program honors innovators who design
technology to benefit humanity. Synergo was named a 2006 Tech
Laureate for the Accenture Economic Development Award.
GlobalGiving has posted Synergo's projects in Guatemala and Mexico
Synergo participates in Global Social Benefit Incubator at Santa Clara University in California
"The Global Social Benefit Incubator provides an intensive two-week
residential program at Santa Clara University that enables successful
social benefit entrepreneurs to scale their endeavors and achieve
sustainability." Karen Piegorsch joined fellow social entrepreneurs to
participate in the GSBI in August 2007.

Nonprofit organization Synergo Arts founded
In September, 2007 Karen Piegorsch founded the nonprofit organization Synergo Arts . The organization helps
artists, artisans and art educators build their capacity for using ergonomics. The weaving bench program originated
by Synergo LLC has been transferred to Synergo Arts.
